Co-Parenting Apps and the Problems They Solve
Co-parenting is a lot of juggling responsibilities, managing calendars, and can be stressful - to say the least. Ideally, both parents should be attempting to co-parent to the best of their ability for their kids’ sake. However, realistically, co-parenting is riddled with challenges and frustrations.
Many parents choose a co-parenting app to help with these issues. Many of these co-parenting apps contain a parenting time calendar, secure and documented calling and messaging, shared expense tracking, information storage, and even GPS check-ins. These apps also give parents the ease of no longer needing to scour through texts, DMs, emails, et cetera. Any and all responsibilities that are related to the coordination, planning, expenses, and communication with a co-parent are in one app.
It’s also great practice to keep any disagreements between you and your co-parent with in the messaging system in the app. When arguments stay within the co-parenting app, your children are then protected from overhearing or witnessing any stressful or upsetting conversations. Further, these apps are password protected. So even if your children borrow your phone, they won’t be privy to those adult conversations.
Currently, many phones have the ability to delete messages or unsend messages. Co-parenting apps automatically documents everything - and leaves no room for any manipulation or possible deleted messages. And because the co-parenting app documents everything, some of these co-parenting apps allow you to create a PDF record of activity, which can save you a lot of time and money should you need to hire an attorney.
